Abilities:
- Scientist: Luis is a doctor of biology and his resume boasts work in parasitology, pathology, and chemistry/pharmaceutical development. He developed multiple OTC medications while working for Umbrella and also creates a suppressant for Las Plagas (out of wildly improvised materials.) He also shows some prowess for engineering, having finished and fine-tuned a surgical radiation device on his own (before testing it on himself.)
- Charisma: A smooth-talker and a flirt, Luis is quick with a lie or a disarming smile or joke. It's clear that his friendly personality and his silver tongue have gotten him out of a lot of scrapes over the years.
- Genius: It's revealed that Luis was a child genius whose intellect and circumstances gave him an early start at university (age 13 or 14.) Hence why he's so young with all these accomplishments.
- Marksmanship/Combat: Thanks to a childhood in the superboonies Luis is competent with firearms, shown ably using his trademark Red9 handgun and a bolt-action rifle. Though not a combatant if he can possible help it, if his back's against the wall he's a scrappy fighter who will throw down to survive. In canon he improvises weaponry including a piece of metal pipe and dynamite to great effect.


[First Impressions]

Visual: Caucasian-Spanish, 5'10", a little gangly. Tan skin, dark brown hair, gray eyes. Usually a bit of fuzzy facial hair, looks older than he is due to stress. He's a snazzy dresser, enjoying flashy fashion like his very fine leather jacket (when he's not working.)

Aural: Suave, a little gravelly, with a thick Castilian Spanish accent. Spanish is his native language but he speaks English fluently. VA: André Peña

Olfactory: Cigarette smoke, leather, aftershave. Sometimes lab chemicals or disinfectant.

Demeanor: Friendly and outgoing, playfully teasing/flirty, always moving and always thinking. A little twitchy, honestly, and can come off like he's up to something. Frequently fiddling with something in his hands as a nervous tic (usually his lighter, or a cigarette if he's got one.)

Resident Evil is a canon that features topics such as body horror, biological weapons, inhumane science experiments, blood and gore. Luis' shop talk may include discussions of parasites and other zombie virus horrors. Otherwise he is not keen to discuss any of this with random people.

Psychic/Mental Information: Luis' internal dialogue is probably in Spanish. He is very, very, very intelligent.

Magical Information: Magic (not counting borderline magical science) does not exist in the RE universe; he has no natural defenses or resistances to it.

Medical Information: Luis is a frequent smoker and not terribly athletic as a result. He was previously infected with Las Plagas, but removed his parasite via improvised surgery, leaving a radiation burn scar on his chest.

Offensive Subjects and Triggers: Luis has some sensitivity about fire after his grandfather's death. He feels severely guilty for the inhumane results of his research and is touchy around subjects of mad science, experiments, etc. Also a little sensitive on the topic of religion (especially cults.)

A self-proclaimed "ladies' man," Luis is also a tremendous flirt with all genders. He tends to come on a little heavy-handed and then back off if he gets the sense his gestures aren't reciprocated-- if you flirt back, he'll play along all day, and he is totally down for casual hookups.

Luis is very much skittish around the idea of commitment and prefers to keep his flings fun, casual, and drama-free. Anyone trying to lay claim to him will send him heading for the hills.

As far as castmates go, PLEASE, come at him! Love pairing him up with Leon and Ada especially, but I'd also love to bounce him off Rebecca, Jill, Carlos, or any other RE characters.
